What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plaza | Cleaners position at CentraCare?
We are expanding at CentraCare Plaza! Make a difference within the community by joining our CentraCare cleaning (EVS) team at one of our non-Hospital locations such as the CentraCare Plaza or one of our other Clinic locations around the St. Cloud area.
What do our Plaza and Clinic cleaners do?
Our cleaning staff serve a vital role in making a difference by ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. These non-Hospital positions will work at our Plaza or other Clinics and out-buildings. These cleaning roles require interacting and communicating with staff, patients and families of patients while sanitizing patient rooms and public spaces throughout our locations. Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is ideal but not required. Join the team at Central Minnesota’s largest employer!
Various Schedules are available for Cleaners, Floors, Laundry:
- Afternoon/Evenings | 7 or 8-hour shifts (mainly 5p-1:30a or 4p-11:30p).
- Day shift is not available at this time.
- Full-time | 60-80 Hours per two weeks or
- Part-time | 32 Hours per two weeks
- Some positions may include Weekend and Holiday rotations, but this is rare with our Plaza and Clinics.
Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):
- Wage rates start at $17.41 per hour offering more with experience.
- Pay range: $15.74 - $23.62 per hour
- After 3pm shift differential is $1.00 per hour.
- Weekend shift differential is $1.05 per hour.

Location:
- Positions available throughout various CentraCare locations to include but not limited to:
- CentraCare Plaza, St. Cloud
- Greater St. Cloud Area buildings: Sartell Clinic, Midsota Clinic, Northway Clinic, Sleep Center, and more
Duties:
- Facility cleaners will sanitize rooms after patients have been seen.
- Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms.
- Rooms, hallways, entryways and lobbies must be cleaned thoroughly to ensure patient, visitor and staff safety.
- Position includes working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
- PPE is required and provided to protect your health and safety!

Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well (both written and verbal) with others is required for these positions.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
