What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Extender | Urgent Care position at CentraCare?
Join the CentraCare team as a Patient Care Extender in our fast-paced Urgent Care Center located at the CentraCare Plaza.
A PCE is responsible for assisting licensed medical staff in the quality treatment of patients and functions as a vital team member in providing patient/family centered care through tasks including wound irrigation, cleaning/dressing applications, crutch sizing, cleaning and stocking treatment rooms, documenting patient activity, and more.
Schedule:
- Part Time | 36 hours every 2 weeks
- 12-hour shifts 7am-7:30pm and 9am-9:30pm variable days Sunday-Saturday, every 3rd weekend, and rotating holidays
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay starting at $19.15 per hour and up based on experience.
- Pay range $19.15-$28.71

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required; can be obtained internally upon hire
