What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at CentraCare?
Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the performance of all technical and daily mechanical duties assigned to the maintenance department. Includes maintaining HVAC system, light plumbing and general troubleshooting.
Schedule
Fulltime – 80 hours every two weeks | Onsite
Shifts - 6:00AM to 2:30PM and 7:30AM to 4:00PM (rotating schedule)
On-call rotation for Nights, Weekends and Holidays
Pay and Benefits

Starting pay begins at $18.51 per hour and increases with experience
- Pay range: $18.51- $26.80 per hour

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Special Engineers License issued by the State of Minnesota within 90 Days
Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital or industrial maintenance position required.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all internal and external customers.
Perform duties in a manner consistent with safety principles and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards associated with the position and organization.
Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
