What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Patient Access Assistant | Hospital position at CentraCare?
Enjoy a rewarding position in our Hospital as a Lead Patient Access Assistant at our Main Admissions desk! As a Patient Access Lead, you are often the first point of contact for our patients. In this highly visibility role, you will welcome patients and check them in for their appointment. This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed.
The Lead will also assist in training, coaching and continuing education needs of our Patient Access staff.
Schedule:
- Full Time Day Shift | 80 Hours Every Two Weeks
8-hour Shifts (8 am – 4:30 pm)
- While posted hours are 8am-4:30pm, the Lead may be asked to cover the 5a-130p or even the 12:30p-9p shift if coverage is needed.
- Weekend On-Call rotation (Every 5th weekend)
Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):
- $19.15 per hour however, we pay more for experience.
- Full Pay Spectrum for this position: $19.15 - $28.71

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have working knowledge of all Prelude/ADT/Scheduling/Insurance authorization and referral functions within Epic required.
- Epic Certification Epic Prelude/ADT (or other Software Vendor) Credentialing required where applicable within one year of hire.
- Excellent customer service skills
