We are looking for a full-time Exercise Physiologist who will be responsible for the provision of cardiac rehabilitative services to patients recovering from cardiovascular events using techniques and judgments pertinent to exercise physiology. In this role, you will assess patients, plan treatment, conduct exercise/education sessions and document using professional standards. Guidelines and protocols follow ACSM and CentraCare standards. Patients of all ages are served. You will support and implement patient safety demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, families and co-workers.
Position Details:
- Full-time
- 64 hours every two weeks
- Monday – Friday (No weekends!)
- 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology
- If Bachelor's degree, 2 years experience in Cardiac Rehab required or internship at the CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center or Outpatient cardiac rehab program of similar size
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong working knowledge of ECG interpretation, anatomy, physiology and pathology of heart disease
- Skill in monitoring blood pressure, heart rate, and in the operation of spirometry for the Pulmonary Rehab
