Summary
This opportunity at Rice Memorial Hospital is responsible for both the Surgery Center and Surgical Services in the hospital.
- Provides leadership, coordination, direction and development of teams and/or programs for services of responsibility.
- Is responsible for cross-functional leadership of programs and services necessary to meet patient care needs.
- This position role models and supports an environment conducive to positive and collaborative relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Is responsible for the retention and development of qualified staff while enhancing communication and feedback throughout the department.
- Responsible for age-appropriate care for patients and families.
- Supports, implements patient safety, and other safety practices as appropriate.
- Maintains professional competencies by attending educational programs, participates in professional organizations, subscribing to the reading professional journals or other appropriate activities.
Schedule
- Fulltime, salaried position working 80 hours per two weeks.
- Primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours with off-hour coverage also.
Pay and Benefits

Starting salary begins at $99,590 annually
- Full pay range $99,590 to $153,125

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in perioperative services required.
- Clinical management experience preferred.
- Experience in facilitating reviews conducted by local, state and national regulatory agencies preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) Current licensure to practice in the State of Minnesota required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Possesses verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients/families, and community resources.
