What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Sales Executive position at Centra Funding, LLC?
National Sales Executive
Location: Plano, TX — [Full-time, On-Site at our Plano, TX office. This role is not remote or hybrid.]
We're a nationwide equipment finance leader headquartered in Plano, TX, and a direct lender with our own money. We're hiring one proven closer who knows how to take a deal from hello to funded.
We're not looking for order-takers. We're looking for the person their last manager is still trying to replace.
The National Sales Executive owns the full cycle of the transaction. You'll hunt new business, structure deals, and — most importantly — know how to get a deal approved and funded. The best people in this seat have lived on both sides of the table: they've worked the customer and worked the approval, building the write-up and submitting clean deals to get them across the finish line. Our Vendor Team has the unique advantage of both direct access to the Credit Team for on-book transactions, as well as the Syndication desk, where all other deals are paired with the best match in the market.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own deals from application through funding — structure, package, and submit deals for approval, then work them to a "yes"
- Build the credit story on each deal: clean applications, complete equipment specs, and a tight write-up that gets deals approved
- Negotiate structure and rate, resolve stips, and keep every transaction moving
- Cultivate relationships with vendors and customers to uncover repeat and cross-sell opportunities
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Centra's products and communicate their value clearly
- Manage a high volume of active transactions with strong organization and attention to detail
- Bring the daily discipline that separates top performers from the rest
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of recent sales experience at a small-ticket equipment finance shop — non-negotiable; we want someone who lives in small-ticket today
- Small-ticket equipment finance experience within the last 12 months (required)
- Hands-on experience packaging and submitting deals to secure approvals — you've built write-ups and worked deals through to funding
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you can read a credit file fast and explain financial concepts clearly
- Highly motivated, coachable, and resilient — you take feedback and keep improving
Preferences
- Currently at a broker/originator or a small-ticket lender, working deals from origination through funding
- A track record over a title — if you've consistently ranked at the top of your team, we want to talk
- Salesforce experience
- Experience in high-volume prospecting environments
Compensation
- Strong base salary designed to support experienced finance and business-development professionals.
- Incentive compensation tied to the success of the transactions you help close
- Uncapped earning potential with meaningful upside.
- Compensation structure will be tailored based on experience, network, and demonstrated ability.
