SERVICE WORKER (Forklift Operator)

Pay: $24.35/hour

Shift Diff: $2.00/hour

Available Shift: 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm)

Summary

Operate forklift and other mobile equipment to move materials within production buildings and between production and warehouse locations. This position is also responsible for transporting raw materials to/from designated locations and supporting efficient operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment safely and according to established procedures.
• Move materials within production areas and between production and warehouse locations.
• Transport raw materials to and from designated locations.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers regarding safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow established work instructions and assist in writing, revising, and training others on work instructions when needed.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues or notify appropriate personnel when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by following 5S principles.
• Sweep and remove debris from production areas and machinery.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and move materials weighing up to 200 pounds using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Comply with all plant and corporate safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in other departments and perform additional duties as assigned to meet changing business needs.
  
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Forklift experience highly preferred, but not required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic understanding of machine operation.
