• Operational Management
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the PGT-A lab including sample intake, DNA amplification, library prep, sequencing, and data analysis.
• Coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of tests.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and lab protocols
• Personnel Supervision
• Manage, train, and evaluate lab staff and technicians.
• Schedule staff shifts to meet testing demands.
• Ensure ongoing training in new methods and technologies.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Oversee QC/QA systems including validation, proficiency testing, and maintenance of CLIA/CAP or equivalent accreditation standards.
• Ensure documentation and data integrity in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage internal and external audits.
• Technical Oversight
• Monitor laboratory performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure accurate and reproducible test results.
• Collaboration
• Liaise with embryologists, genetic counselors, and clinicians to coordinate patient care.
• Report and review test results as needed with medical and scientific staff.
• Work with bioinformatics and IT teams on data analysis pipelines.
• Inventory and Budget Management
• Manage inventory of reagents, consumables, and instruments.
• Prepare and manage laboratory budgets and equipment procurement.
  

Dein Profil

Education

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in a clinical genetics or IVF lab, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven experience with NGS-based PGT-A workflows (e.g., WGA, library prep, sequencing).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with LIMS and genetic data analysis tools is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
  
  

Preferred Certifications

• ASCP Certification in Molecular Biology (MB) or Clinical Laboratory Director eligibility.
• Certification in Clinical Cytogenetics or Molecular Genetics (e.g., ABMGG) is a plus.
