Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Longwood, FL. The team member will support the daily operations of a senior primary care center, including welcoming patients, preparing exam rooms, assisting with vital signs, and helping clinicians during patient visits. Responsibilities include managing patient check-in and check-out workflows, updating and maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring proper documentation in the practice’s systems. The role also involves coordinating referrals, supporting prescription and follow-up processes, and responding to patient questions or needs in a respectful, patient-centered manner. The individual will collaborate closely with physicians and the broader Care Team to support holistic, coordinated care for senior patients and to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Clinical support skills in Medical Assisting, including taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, and assisting clinicians during procedures.
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document clinical information.
- Experience in a Medical Office setting, including scheduling, patient flow coordination, and front-desk or reception duties.
- Strong Patient Care skills, with a compassionate, respectful approach to working with older adults and diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in managing Medical Records, including electronic health records (EHR), documentation accuracy, and privacy/confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program or similar clinical training preferred.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary care environment.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using clinical software and office applications.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Longwood, FL, including occasional flexibility in schedule as patient needs require.
- Newly Certified MA's are welcomed
