Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper manual handling techniques.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by properly handling chemical agents according to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures.
• Clean public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces to ensure a spotless environment for guests and staff.
• Use janitorial equipment effectively for floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface sanitation to uphold hygiene standards across all hotel areas.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times.
• Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and proper chemical handling is essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture or large linens.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is advantageous.
• Understanding of safety data sheets (SDS), hotel emergency procedures, and general safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
