Supervises daily activities within the Access department. This role will be responsible for improving the continuity of care for individuals and agencies within our behavioral healthcare system to improve clinical outcomes.
This role is instrumental in managing the Access Department. The first point of contact for those experience HI and SI

Education Level
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Years Of Experience
Minimum of four years of relevant experience required.
Certification/Licensure
Licensed Therapist or RN preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees the work of a team responsible for maintaining records, registering patients, coordinating room assignments, and making billing arrangements.
- Reviews the work of subordinates, ensuring that output meets organizational standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor co-workers on-the-spot as needed.
- Addresses inquiries from patients and/or their families.
- Implements processes, policies and procedures that are meant to ensure high quality of patient care and satisfaction.
- Coordinates referrals, transfers, or discharges as needed.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
- May have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
- Work to reinforce relationships with sending facility RN team through clinical case reviews and coordination.
- Provide 24hr oversight of department and review of clinical documentation to remain within Federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Work to improve efficiency and quality in delivering services within the department, responsible for developing and meeting departmental goals and objectives.
- Complete quality assurance checks and lead improvement initiatives for all crisis triage, evaluation, intake and admission services.
- Assign and schedule evaluations, intakes or admissions as dictated by criteria.
- Responsible for continued staff training.
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles
