Medical Director Services is growing and is seeking compassionate, motivated Optometrists (ODs) to provide comprehensive optometric care in Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout [STATE].
Whether you're looking for one day a week, several days a week, or a full-time schedule, we'll build a territory around your availability. We provide the patients, coordinate the schedule, and handle the billing—so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Compensation

Your Role
You'll provide high-quality optometric care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, including:
- Comprehensive eye examinations
- Routine vision evaluations
- Diagnosis and management of common ocular conditions
- Evaluation of visual acuity and refractive needs
- Prescription of eyeglasses and other appropriate corrective measures
- Diabetic eye evaluations and monitoring
- Glaucoma and cataract screening and monitoring
- Assessment of ocular health and age-related vision changes
- Patient education and treatment recommendations
- Referral to ophthalmology or other specialists when medically necessary
- Documentation using facility EMR systems, including PointClickCare and SigmaCare
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- Active and unrestricted optometry license in the state of employment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Reliable transportation to your assigned facilities
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience is a plus, but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
