Confidential Opportunity: Director of Maintenance – Skilled Nursing Facility (White Plains, NY Area)
A well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in the White Plains, NY area is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Maintenance to lead its maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and supervise staff
Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper equipment functioning
Assign and supervise maintenance tasks and schedules
Manage all repair and preventative maintenance activities
Ensure timely completion of in-house and contracted maintenance work
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, warranties, and maintenance logs
Oversee departmental budget and monitor expenditures
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA
Remain available for emergency situations as needed (on-call)
Qualifications:
Must have prior supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting
Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Solid computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Ability to multi-task and stay focused in high-pressure situations
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
