Corning Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as an Assistant Unit Manager. Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in Corning, New York, and is designed for individuals with skilled nursing needs, postoperative recuperation, or complex medical care demands, as well as chronically-ill individuals who can no longer live independently. We offer a variety of services including Skilled Nursing Care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitative Care and Therapy, Social Work Services, and Recreational Activities. Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the oversight and coordination of day-to-day nursing unit functions
- Monitor resident conditions and document health information accurately
- Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered care as required
- Assist with admissions and gathering necessary resident information
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or mental condition
- Provide wound care and other nursing treatments when needed
- Encourage resident comfort, dignity, and personal hygiene assistance
- Supervise and guide CNAs and other nursing support staff as assigned
- Maintain compliance with facility procedures, standards, and state regulations
- Track residents’ nutritional intake, output, and vital signs
- Active LPN license in good standing
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Basic computer proficiency preferred
