We have an opening for a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our highly regarded and growing practice. Primary Job Duties:
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing required with certification appropriate to scope. Active unrestricted CNP license by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Preference is given to candidates with active Prescriptive Authority in Ohio and DEA registration. CPR certification required.
Experience: Minimum of one year nursing clinical experience required. Experience with patients appropriate to scope. Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Description of Position/Purpose:

Primary Job Duties:
- Deliver preventive services to patients; complete comprehensive health history and physical examination; perform relevant physical examination including vital signs; perform procedures.
- Prescribe, monitor, and administer medication and treatment. Prescribe within formulary guidelines.
- Order appropriate lab and other testing as indicated for clinical presentation, including point-of-care testing. Review, interpret, and document results and communicate results to patient.
- Initiate or participate in patient care conferences. Provide patients and families with teaching and counseling in the areas of health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and the management of acute/chronic diseases.
- Initiate, direct, and modify medical care plan. Observe, evaluate, and document condition, behavior, compliance, and response to medication/treatment in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Document findings and plan of care accurately and appropriately in the patient's medical record to meet the standards of external parties. Code services appropriately.
- Collaborate with external providers and external referrals as appropriate for clinical presentation.
- Work with collaborating physician in a standard care arrangement (SCA); update and maintain arrangement as required by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Participate in quality improvement data collection. Provide support for quality improvement plans.
- Participate in peer review.
- Attend job-related and professional activities, which may involve limited travel within the local area, region, state, or country for professional meetings, networking, training, and conferences.
- Perform other functions as assigned by physician, supervisor, CMO, or CEO.
- Provide primary care across the lifespan, in collaboration with other members of the primary care team.
- Deliver Medication-Assisted Treatment as appropriate and obtain and maintain the necessary certifications.
