Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their nutritional needs, develop personalized dietary plans, and provide ongoing health coaching to promote optimal health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate dietary habits and nutritional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans based on patient assessments and health goals.
- Provide health coaching to patients, offering guidance on dietary choices and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to nutrition plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure integrated care for patients, particularly in hospital settings.
- Supervise dietary staff in the preparation and delivery of meals that meet specific nutritional requirements.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and alimentary systems, including tube feeding when necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition science and apply this knowledge to practice.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health.
- Experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Excellent communication skills for effective health coaching and patient interaction.
- Ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with tube feeding protocols and related nutritional interventions is a plus.
