Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for dance and teaching, with a focus on educating students of all ages in various dance styles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate dance lessons
- Instruct students on proper dance techniques, terminology, and choreography
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Plan and organize dance recitals, performances, or showcases
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall dance program
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dance instruction or performance
- Proficiency in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, or contemporary
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels
- Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum development
- Familiarity with childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Skills in sewing for costume alterations (nice-to-have)
- Interest or experience in photography for capturing dance moments (nice-to-have)
