The Center Point–Urbana Community School District (CPU CSD) is seeking a qualified and motivated Food Service Director to lead our district’s nutrition program starting January 2, 2026.
About the District:
CPU serves approximately 1,300 PK–12 students in Center Point and Urbana, Iowa. We are committed to providing nutritious, high-quality meals that support student learning and wellness.
Position Summary:
The Food Service Director oversees all aspects of the district’s nutrition services, including menu planning, ordering, meal preparation, service, compliance, and staff supervision. The successful candidate will ensure all operations meet federal and state requirements while maintaining efficient, student-centered food service programs.
Qualifications:

High school graduate or higher and at least 3 years of relevant food service experience.

One year of food service management and preparation is preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Knowledge of USDA and Iowa Department of Education child nutrition regulations is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise all district food service operations

Plan menus that meet USDA and state guidelines

Manage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relations
