Primary veterinarian referrals are accepted for specialty services, while emergency care is available without an appointment or referral.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Veterinary Technician position located in Suffolk, VA. In this role, you will support veterinarians in delivering exceptional care to animals, assist in procedures and treatments, monitor anesthetized patients, and handle advanced veterinary technology. The role also involves client communication and education regarding pet care and treatment plans, along with maintaining medical records and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Veterinary Technology and working with advanced diagnostic equipment
- Strong skills in Anesthesiology and assisting in surgical procedures
- Experience and effectiveness in Client Education to communicate treatment plans and provide pet care guidance
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate demeanor and passion for helping animals and their families
