Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Neuro-Exercise Specialist located in Altamonte Springs, FL. The Neuro-Exercise Specialist will design and implement tailored exercise programs for individuals with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions based on their specific needs and goals. Daily tasks include guiding and physically assisting exercise and recovery programs, administering exercise prescriptions, and aiding with strength training and functional movement. The specialist will also monitor clients’ progress, ensure safety during sessions, and provide encouragement to foster independence and recovery. No experience required. On-site training provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a health related field
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals with neurological conditions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Certification in CPR/First Aid
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ACSM, NSCA, or NASM) are a plus
- Prior experience in rehabilitation or therapeutic exercise is a bonus
