Center of Family Love (CFL) in Okarche, OK is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides residential and employment programs for adults with intellectual disabilities by cultivating their interests, skills and independence to live creative, productive and joyous lives. We are located 30 minutes west of north Oklahoma City.
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to assist with maintaining facility equipment and property according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of CFL’s goals and objectives.
We are primarily looking for individuals with HVAC diagnostic experience and general, preventative maintenance experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of the Center of Family Love grounds and facilities, to include light carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, as well as other general maintenance functions related to the buildings.
2. Responsible for daily trash and debris removal
3. Perform light maintenance of electrical systems, such as replacing light bulbs and sockets, and cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels.
4. Responsible for assembling furniture as well as moving items such as furniture, boxes, medical equipment, etc.
5. Assist with Vehicle Fuel Preparation and weekly inspections, including verifying that each vehicle starts.
6. Assist in coordinating monthly alarm system drills.
7. Perform manual repairs when necessary, such as fixing/changing locks, door repair and replacements, replacing windows, etc.
8. Conduct general upkeep procedures, such as tree and shrub trimming, lawn maintenance, and other tasks as assigned including painting and carpentry.
9. Responsible for emergency response including, but not limited to providing emergency/unscheduled repairs.
10. Responsible for the maintenance area daily including clean up, trash, organization, etc.
11. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
12. Report any faulty operations, defective material, etc., and any unusual situations to Facilities Director.
13. Must protect the privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the residents, employees, facility information and records.
14. Must maintain a safe and secure working environment and practice safe working habits.
15. Must comply with the Center of Family Love attendance policy.
16. Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene and appropriate attire.
17. Participates in training, in-services, and meetings as required.
18. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Center of Family Love’s values of teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion and kindness.
Qualifications:
- Experience with HVAC diagnostics / HVAC certification highly preferred
- 2-years general, preventative maintenance experience
