CVR is seeking a Program Director (Behavioral Health Programs) to join our leadership team. This full-time position is responsible for the overall management, coordination, quality assurance, and strategic growth of CVR's Behavioral Health Program serving individuals with intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities. The Program Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that promote independence, community inclusion, skill development, and meaningful engagement while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, funding requirements, and organizational policies.

Working closely with senior leadership, the Program Director will provide supervision, guidance, and support to program staff while fostering a culture of respect, dignity, empowerment, and excellence. This role will also lead program expansion efforts through community outreach, partnership development, participant enrollment initiatives, and the creation of innovative services that meet the evolving needs of the individuals and communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily program operations to ensure high-quality services and a safe, supportive environment for participants and staff.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate person-centered program activities that promote community engagement, life skills, personal growth, and participant success.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff while fostering teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
  • Ensure participants receive individualized services that support their goals, choices, health, safety, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with families, guardians, support coordinators, case managers, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, licensing standards, Medicaid requirements, and accreditation guidelines.
  • Monitor participant documentation, service records, incident reports, and program outcomes to ensure quality assurance standards are met.
  • Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, grant reporting, and management of program supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Lead program growth initiatives, identify opportunities for service expansion, and develop new community-based programs.
  • Build relationships with referral sources, state agencies, school districts, healthcare providers, employers, and community organizations.
  • Represent CVR at community meetings, networking events, presentations, outreach activities, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Analyze program performance, participant feedback, and community needs to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Support fundraising, grant development, enrollment growth, and strategic planning efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs, CEO, or organizational leadership.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • Master's Degree in a Human Services field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mental health services.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory and/or program management experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities.
  • Experience with person-centered planning and community-based service delivery.
  • Knowledge of disability services, behavioral supports, community integration practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic record systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with DMHS and Medicaid regulations.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and person-centered service delivery.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing, expanding, or managing disability service programs.
  • Demonstrated success building community partnerships and referral networks.
  • Experience with outreach, enrollment growth, marketing, fundraising, or business development in a nonprofit or human services setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid waiver services, state-funded disability programs, and reimbursement models.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
