Registered Vascular Technologist
This is a full time position for a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) to work at the Center for Varicose Veins in two state of the art facilities located in Wilton and Fairfield, CT. The primary responsibilities for the RVT/RVS candidate are performing Lower Extremity Vascular Exams including venous insufficiency and deep venous ultrasound exams, prepare sterile procedure tables and performing sterile procedures. Candidate should have 5 years of prior vascular ultrasound experience. No nights, weekends or call required.

Experience:
- Vascular Ultrasound: 5 year (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- RVT or RVS certification (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR (Preferred)

Work Location:

Responsibilities Include:
- Perform venous duplex ultrasounds to evaluate reflux and deep vein thrombosis
- Conduct pre-operative vein mapping
- Perform ultrasound guidance during procedures like sclerotherapy, varithena, and radiofrequency ablation
- Take accurate patient history and explain the procedure
- Capture high-quality images and measurements of superficial and deep veins
- Prepare preliminary reports for the interpreting physician
- Assist physicians during vein procedures in real-time
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
- Document all exams in the electronic medical record system
- Educate patients on post-procedure care when needed
- Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during scans
- Conform to all applicable HIPAA, Billing Compliance, and safety guidelines.
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
