Entry Level Immigration paralegal

Job description:

Reports to: Attorney

Duties and Responsibilities:

Successful candidate will:

• Gain valuable experience while undergoing specialized immigration paralegal education training
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
• Conduct follow-up calls as may be required
• Prepare immigration applications
• Draft Asylum and Waiver Briefs
• Organize folders
• Schedule/calendar case-related matters and track deadlines
• Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses
• Support litigation-related work of assigned cases – in-house and in court
• Provide leadership in firm marketing and outreach-related activities
• Participate in management meetings as may be required from time to time
• Any other activities mandated by company management.

Requirements (Experience/Qualifications):

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of law experience preferred
• Must be highly motivated with the ability to operate well under pressure and under minimal supervision

·        Spanish and English fluency (written and spoken) required

·        Strong writing skills are essential

·        Strong attention to detail and organization
