We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented in person Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing practice.
About Us
TMJ & Sleep Solutions NW is the only practice in Kitsap County and the Olympic Peninsula dedicated to non-surgical treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD), craniofacial pain, and sleep-related breathing disorders. Our team provides comprehensive solutions for patients suffering from sleep apnea and snoring through an integrated approach that includes medical care, dental sleep medicine, and durable medical equipment (DME) services.
Originally based in Silverdale, our practice has expanded to include additional locations in Federal Way and Bellevue, allowing us to serve patients throughout the region. By combining advanced technology with years of specialized clinical experience, our goal is to help patients reduce pain, improve sleep, and achieve a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
Billing & Charge Entry
- Enter patient charges, procedure codes, and modifiers accurately and in a timely manner
- Review documentation to ensure charges are supported and compliant
- Maintain accuracy in patient demographic and insurance information
Claims Management
- Prepare and submit clean electronic claims to insurance carriers
- Monitor claim status and resolve rejections promptly
- Perform follow-up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement
Payment Posting & Account Reconciliation
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately to patient accounts
- Reconcile payments, adjustments, and balances as needed
- Identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues
Patient Account Support
- Respond to patient billing inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Assist patients in understanding statements, balances, and payment options
- Maintain accurate account notes and documentation
Compliance & Accuracy
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
- Adhere to established billing policies, payer guidelines, and industry best practices
- Support internal billing audits and documentation reviews as needed
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and billing systems preferred
- Passion for helping patients and supporting quality healthcare operations
