We are looking for a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our healthcare team. If you enjoy helping people, providing excellent customer service, and working in a fast-paced medical office, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and provide a positive, professional experience.
- Register patients and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, copays, and deductibles.
- Collect patient payments and provide receipts.
- Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations.
- Respond to patient phone calls, portal messages, and routine questions.
- Assist with check-in/check-out and maintain efficient patient flow.
- Accurately document information in the EMR/EHR.
- Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA and security requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to provide excellent patient service.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical office or customer-service experience preferred.
- EMR/EHR experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of insurance, referrals, prior authorizations, and patient payments is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately.
