Certified Medical Assistant (part-time)

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting providers in the delivery of compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care by performing clinical and administrative duties that promote health, wellbeing, and positive patient experiences. This role serves as an important member of the care team, fostering meaningful patient relationships, coordinating care, and contributing to a joyful, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, and coworkers.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

Essential Functions

  • Deliver exceptional patient experiences by preparing patients for visits, obtaining and documenting clinical information, and ensuring each patient is treated with compassion, dignity, and respect.
  • Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care team members to provide efficient, high-quality clinical care, assist with examinations and procedures, and maintain effective patient flow.
  • Perform clinical duties within certification and training requirements, including administering medications and immunizations, collecting specimens, conducting diagnostic testing, and reinforcing patient education and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and communication that supports continuity of care and improved health outcomes.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and documentation in compliance with infection prevention, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements while supporting a positive and professional care environment.
  • Contribute to CPC's culture of joy, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement through active participation in training, quality initiatives, and organizational goals.
