Looking for an Experienced. Medical Office Coordinator/Receptionist with knowledge of insurance billing . Ideal for those interested in longer shifts with fewer days.
Shifts include 2-3 weekdays with 10.5-hour shifts and 2 Saturdays per month with 6.5-hour shifts. Typical hours are 9:45 am-8:15 pm weekdays and Sat 8:45 am-3:15 pm
Responsibilities Answering all incoming calls for a growing private mental health practice Complete intake calls for potential clients for all services and providers, including scheduling initial appointments Checking insurance benefits, creating invoices, and collecting payments. Accurately determine client resposibility based on insurance coverage Responsible for upkeep of office, making sure coffee, tea, water, etc is all stocked Obtaining, recording, and filing client medical histories, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality. Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, client check-in and check-out, and client medical record maintenance. Preparing and upkeep of treatment rooms as well as assisting mental health providers with setting up assessments. Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to clients and families. Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA. Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency Maintain files and records with effective filing systems Greet and assist visitors and patients when they arrive at the office Monitor office supplies inventory and notify office admin
Qualifications High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent experience a plus, Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Familiarity with electronic medical health care record system preferred, not required. Detail-oriented and organized.
Pay & Benefits: $18/hr during training; $20-$22/hr after 1-2 months;. paid holidays; PTO; possible opportunities to increase hours to full-time within the next year or fill in for the other receptionists on occasion.
