General Summary:

The Clinical Training & Development Specialist serves as the end-to-end owner of onboarding, training, and clinical workflow standardization across the Center for Neurosciences (CNS). This role is responsible for guiding employees from Day 1 onboarding through full role competency, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality in clinical and operational practices. By developing structured training programs and standardized workflows, this role directly supports employee retention, provider efficiency, patient experience, and organizational growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the full onboarding and training lifecycle for clinical and operational roles, including orientation, role-based training, and competency validation.
• Serve as the primary point of accountability for new hire readiness, ensuring employees achieve defined competencies within established timeframes.
• Develop, maintain, and update standardized training curricula, competency checklists, and job aids for multiple roles.
• Partner with clinical and operational leadership to align training programs with workflow requirements and performance expectations.
• Design, document, and maintain standardized clinical and operational workflows to improve consistency and reduce errors.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and training gaps contributing to staff frustration, rework, or turnover, and recommend improvements.
• Provide hands-on eClinicalWorks (ECW) training, including onboarding, optimization, and refresher sessions as workflows evolve.
• Track training metrics such as time-to-competency, onboarding progress, and retraining needs.
• Maintain training documentation, compliance records, and version-controlled materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to training effectiveness, retention, and operational performance.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional healthcare, clinical, or training-related education preferred.

Experience:

Required:
• 2–5 years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical practice, training, or a related healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, or coordinating training programs.

Preferred:
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) or comparable EHR systems.
• Medical Assistant or comparable clinical background.
• Experience in specialty practices or multi-provider clinic environments.
• Prior experience in training, onboarding, education, or staff development roles.

Other Requirements:

• Compliance with all applicable Federal, State of Arizona, and local employment laws and CNS policies.
• Ability to meet Federal Form I-9 requirements.
• HIPAA compliance.
• Successful completion of background checks.
