We are looking for fully-licensed clinicians who have a strong desire to specialize in trauma and begin elevating your EMDR training. As a bn employment benefit, EMDR consultation is provided by an Approved Consultant. Clinicians already trained in EMDR are also encouraged to apply. This position is part-time, but we will consider full-time for the right person. It is a hybrid position of in-person/telehealth appointments.

We are a compassionate group practice led by highly experienced leaders with experienced trauma clinicians that have a passion for helping people, particularly those with trauma. In addition to evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy, we also provide neurofeedback and neuropsychological assessments. Our clinical focus is on identifying the root of trauma and other emotional issues to foster permanent, lasting relief.

Due to our excellent reputation, The Center for NeuroPotential receives referrals from physicians and other mental health clinicians from all over the state and beyond. If you are a dynamic, motivated, ethical, client-centered therapist, our practice will be a clinical home where you can grow and flourish. We provide administrative and billing support to our clinicians so you can focus on providing the highest level of care without distractions!

The position will include in-person appointments and virtual Telehealth appointments dependent on the COVID-19 community spread. We will train you on how to ethically and effectively provide trauma-informed therapy (including EMDR) via telehealth. As of July 25, 2022, the majority of sessions are being done in person.

Patients are highly motivated to heal. We prescreen all potential patients to determine if they are a good fit for our practice. Because of this screening, our clinicians have a high retention rate and are able to successfully treat and discharge patients. We do not offer weekend or 24-hour coverage. We refer out individuals with active suicide ideation or acute substance abuse.

This is not a temporary or short-term position. We are seeking clinicians to be part of our team and consider the Center for NeuroPotential a clinical home base for years to come.

Ideal Candidates will:

  • Are fully licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • Provide clinical care from an evidenced-based mindset possessing passion, desire, and skill
  • Prefer to work with a strong clinical team
  • Coordinate clinical care with clinical and administrative staff
  • A willingness to learn and adapt based on patient and practice needs
  • Have started or completed EMDR training or have a desire to begin EMDR training
  • Are comfortable working with an Electronic Health Record (training provided)
  • Are able to work in-office and via telehealth, depending on the COVID community spread
Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, trauma-informed psychotherapy to motivated patients who want to heal
  • Seeks autonomy in their clinical practice while having the support of a group practice
  • Conduct brief clinical check-ins for clients receiving neurofeedback (brain wave training)
  • Open to learning neurofeedback and participating in weekly neurofeedback rounds
  • Seeks autonomy in their clinical practice while having the support of a group practice
  • Communicates with the entire team by participating in open, honest dialogue
  • Partoicipates in consultation with an open, engaging willingness to learn
  • Participate in individual consultation with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant
  • Complete timely documentation in an electronic medical record
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Maintain licensure requirements by participating in the required number of continuing education hours
  • Adhere to all organizational COVID-19 precautions, which include wearing a mask in public areas and disinfecting your office between clients
Qualifications

  • Fully licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psy.D or Ph.D.)
  • Previous clinical experience with PTSD, preferably across the lifespan
  • EMDR training preferred; Applicant must be willing to begin EMDR training if not already completed
  • Open communication, a willingness to learn and implement new techniques and knowledge
  • Must be flexible to meet the sometimes changing demands of our patien needs
  • Applicants must have a passion for, and experience in, treating trauma
  • Applicants must be familiar with providing virtual online therapy
  • Applicants must adhere to ethical standards
  • Applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants must be able to document in an EHR in a timely fashion
  • Applicants should have a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Applicants must display a strong desire for personal and professional growth
  • Team player - someone who thrives with the support of peers and colleagues
Compensation
$35 - $45 hourly
