Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant at the Center For Laser Surgery in Washington, DC. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with patient care, various medical/cosmetic office tasks, managing medical records, and supporting various medical procedures and patient flow through the office.
*Glide Year Applicants* - This is an excellent opportunity for Pre-Med and Pre-PA students to gain valuable clinical experience in an environment highly conducive to teaching and learning. We have had dozens of past Medical Assistants use this experience to further their clinical skills in advance of application to Medical School or PA School. We require no prior experience for qualified Pre-Med and Pre-PA students (Completed Bachelors Degree is required). We request a minimum of 1 year work commitment for glide year employees.
Qualifications
- Medical Assisting and Patient Care skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medical Office procedures
- Experience in maintaining Medical Records
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certification or Diploma in Medical Assisting
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
