What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Coach position at Center for Human Development?
Center for Human Development (CHD), is seeking a Life Coach to join our Congregate Care Network (CCN). CCN consists of group-based residential homes that specialize in providing therapeutic care, education, and community integration for youth requiring specialized support. This is an onsite role that requires you to travel between residential programs within CCN.
Your role as a Life Coach:
The life coach will work with program management and clinical staff on identifying specific goals, tasks, and objectives that the youth will need to work on/achieve in order to make progress in their treatment. The life coach will provide training and guidance in those identified areas, tasks, and or objectives as well as assist in skill development. The life coach will focus on the present and the future and guide/train the youth in how to map out steps to achieve these goals. The life coach will act as a liaison between the youth, the program and external services in the arena of skill development i.e. jobs, volunteer opportunities, RMV, etc.
Depending on the needs of the region, they need to maintain all certifications in order to assist on the floor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with residential programs (1-5 years’ experience)
- Direct Care experience
- Knowledge of life coach responsibilities, experience preferred.
- Driver’s license required.
- Have a legally registered & insured car for work use.
Schedule:
Full time, 40hrs a week. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Applicants must have flexibility around their schedule in order to meet the needs of the region/program. (can include occasional nights/weekends).
The pay rate is $20.97/hr. This full-time role includes a full-benefit package, including Dental, Health and Life insurance, paid time off, earned vacation time, just to name a few.
