Camp Evergreen Coordinator (Part-Time)
The Camp Evergreen Coordinator supports Center for Hospice Care’s youth bereavement programming by overseeing the planning, coordination, and evaluation of Camp Evergreen (CE) and related youth grief services. This role strengthens community partnerships, supports outreach efforts, and ensures high-quality programming for bereaved children and teens. The coordinator serves as a liaison to schools, agencies, and community organizations while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting volunteer engagement. Additional information will be provided during interview.
Essential Responsibilities
Camp Evergreen Programming
- Gather, evaluate, and track information related to bereaved youth for follow-up and service coordination.
- Oversee planning, logistics, and operations for Camp Evergreen programs.
- Facilitate recruitment efforts and maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Monitor and evaluate camp program effectiveness and outcomes.
- Coordinate training, support, and oversight of CE volunteers and camp staff.
- Accurately record and report camp-related data, including referrals, attendance, and program outcomes.
- Maintain organized, clear, and accessible documentation and files.
- Assist in developing outreach programs for youth and teen grief support.
- Serve as a liaison with community resources and youth-serving organizations. Build and strengthen partnerships with schools, agencies, and community programs. Provide presentations to schools and community groups to promote youth bereavement services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field (required).
- Experience in camp leadership or programming (preferred).
- Knowledge of child development; grief-related coursework or certification preferred.
- Previous experience in grief and loss support (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Ability to work under varied conditions and maintain necessary physical abilities.
- Valid driver’s license required.
