OVERVIEW
The Housing Supervisor provides leadership for the Center for Hope and Safety’s (CHS) Housing Programs. This role accomplishes program objectives by understanding and following all CHS Housing grants and programs, supervising, coaching and training staff; organizing and monitoring team workflow; preparing all required statistics and reports; and representing CHS in appropriate meetings with community partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervisor Duties:
- Cooperate with other Supervisors and the Leadership team for the betterment of client services and CHS as a whole.
- Coordinate all housing-related CHS functions, ensuring the agency follows all applicable grant guidelines and housing laws.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for housing program duties by developing work schedules, assigning and monitoring work, implementing productivity standards and resolving problems.
- Organize workflows and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Ensure all statistics and reports are collected, reviewed and submitted on a timely basis – specifically Rapid Rehousing APRs, Capers, monitoring quarterly utilization rate.
- Coordination with the CoC for CE “pulls.”
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Receive feedback and resolve problems.
- Proactively escalate issues and propose solutions to management to improve operational efficiency and enhance client service delivery.
- Pass on information from Leadership and Management to employees and vice versa.
- Provide input in advance of promotions, or performance-based pay increases.
- Onboard and train new housing staff as well as provide ongoing education and training.
- Ensure adherence to legal requirements and CHS policies and procedures.
- Contributes to team efforts by helping to ensure survivor housing needs are met in alignment with the mission of the organization.
- Maintain reference manuals and implement new procedures as needed or assigned.
- Attend meetings to represent CHS, as assigned, related to housing policy and programs.
- Facilitate working relationships between community partners and CHS.
- Conduct outreach to housing-related agencies as appropriate.
Coordinate and Supervise Housing Duties Including
- Prepare all necessary reports in a timely fashion.
- Ensure services follow all appropriate funder and legal guidelines.
- Facilitate working relationships between community partners and CHS. Conduct outreach to housing-related agencies as appropriate to the staff position.
- Attend all appropriate meetings as directed by Supervisor.
- Coordinate client appointments and case management services in accordance with housing program requirements and with other staff members or community partners as appropriate.
- Offer individual services to adult, youth, and child victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.
- Assist victims in developing short-term and long-term safety plans.
- Provide support, information, referrals and emergency transportation to help clients obtain social, medical, and legal services.
- Provide information and education to survivors regarding domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters; maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all activities.
- Participate in shared activities, which may include (but are not limited to) hotline supervision, outreach efforts, hotline scheduling, staff meetings, shelter and office maintenance, hotline coverage, fundraising activities, and donation processing.
- Assist with training new staff, volunteers, and interns as needed.

Advocacy (As Needed)
- Provide educational presentations and trainings to the community and to other agencies on the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault as needed.
- Offer individual services to hotline callers, individuals who walk into office, and shelter residents.
- Assist victims in developing short-term and long-term safety plans. Provide support, information, referrals, and transportation to clients as needed.
- Provide information, referrals and advocacy which will help clients obtain social, medical and legal services. Note: This may include follow-up to determine outcomes of referral and advocacy efforts.
- Coordinate client appointments and case management services with other staff members as appropriate.

Required
- Complete Certified Advocacy Training through Center for Hope & Safety (CHS)
- Approved background check as required by funders.
- Two-year degree or equivalent training or experience in advocacy, crisis intervention or related field required.
- Demonstrated ability in QuickBooks, client database, donor database, and Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A car, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance.
- Ability to lift 20lbs.
