Family Resource Navigator / Parenting Education Facilitator

Center for Holistic Development, Inc. (CHD) is seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-focused Family Resource Navigator / Parenting Education Facilitator to support children and families through parenting education, resource navigation, referrals, and family support services.

This position works directly with families to identify needs, connect them with community resources, facilitate evidence-based parenting education, and help participants successfully engage in CHD programs and services.

• Facilitate parenting education classes using the Nurturing Parenting Program and other evidence-based curricula.
• Recruit, screen, engage, and maintain ongoing contact with participating families.
• Conduct family screenings, pre- and post-assessments, and program evaluations.
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered support.
• Connect families with resources for housing, utilities, employment, behavioral health, domestic violence services, childcare, transportation, and other needs.
• Coordinate referrals and follow up with families to support successful outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and referral partners.
• Maintain accurate case files, attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and other program documentation.
• Assist with data collection, program evaluation, statistical reporting, and grant-related documentation.
• Participate in community outreach, presentations, marketing, and participant recruitment.
• Collaborate with schools, churches, healthcare providers, community organizations, and CHD staff.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring additional facilitators as needed.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with confidential or sensitive information.
• Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and time-management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Valid Nebraska driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and registry checks.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, human services, public health, behavioral health, or a related field.
• Two years of professional experience in human services, education, case management, community outreach, or a related area.
• Experience facilitating workshops, group education, parenting programs, or adult learning activities.
• Knowledge of parenting education, child development, trauma-informed care, and community resources.

Pay Range: $19.50–$22.50 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week
