About CHC

For more than a century, the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) has helped children and adults with hearing loss, deafness, and listening challenges connect to the world around them. Through expert clinical care, education, and emotional support, CHC serves individuals and families at every age and stage of hearing health, all under one roof. This breadth of care is unique.

Despite this impact, CHC is often described as “the best kept secret.” We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to help change that.

Many individuals and families first seek information about hearing loss at moments of uncertainty—often without clear guidance on where to turn. CHC is uniquely positioned to be a trusted, first point of contact, offering both clinical expertise and a comprehensive, human-centered approach to care.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a mission-driven marketing professional who is equally strong in strategy and execution. As Marketing & Communications Manager, you will lead CHC’s brand, digital presence, and communications, with responsibility for increasing awareness, driving client engagement, and strengthening CHC’s visibility.

This person will own CHC’s marketing strategy end-to-end, from digital campaigns and content to cross-departmental collaboration, and will manage a portfolio of channels, vendors, and initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong writing and storytelling skills with digital fluency, sound judgment, and a practical, results-oriented mindset.

What You’ll Own

Marketing & Audience Growth

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that increase awareness of CHC and drive new client inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to reach new audiences and position CHC as a trusted, go-to resource at the moments when individuals and families are actively seeking answers and care
  • Track performance and adjust strategies to improve engagement and results

Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Manage and grow CHC’s digital presence, including website, e-newsletters, and social media
  • Create and execute content strategies that increase engagement and drive traffic to CHC’s services
  • Partner with external consultants on SEO and digital initiatives as needed

Website & Digital Experience

  • Oversee website content and user experience, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and ease of navigation
  • Work with external vendors to maintain and improve site performance
  • Use analytics tools to inform improvements and better understand user behavior

Social Media & Content Strategy

  • Lead CHC’s presence across social media platforms with a clear, consistent, human voice that builds engagement and trust
  • Build and execute a content strategy; develop and manage content that reflects CHC’s work and engages target audiences
  • Monitor performance and adapt content strategy to increase reach and engagement

Content & Storytelling

  • Lead the development of clear, compelling content across platforms
  • Translate complex clinical information into accessible, engaging messaging
  • Develop stories and campaigns that highlight CHC’s impact and encourage individuals and families to seek care

Brand & Communications

  • Ensure consistency in CHC’s voice, tone, and messaging across all channels
  • Support media and public-facing communications that elevate CHC’s profile

Development & Fundraising Support

  • Collaborate with the Development team on donor communications, including appeals, impact reporting, and event materials
  • Support marketing and communications for key events, including the annual gala and Comedy Night

Partnerships & Outreach

  • Help build and maintain strategic partnerships across healthcare, nonprofit, and community organizations
  • Support initiatives that expand CHC’s visibility and reach through aligned organizations, brands, and trusted voices

Analytics, Reporting & Budget

  • Track key marketing metrics and provide regular updates on performance
  • Use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • Manage marketing-related vendors and resources effectively

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with clinical, development, and administrative teams to understand priorities and bring their work to life through communications
  • Encourage awareness of CHC services internally and support opportunities for cross-referrals across departments

What You’ll Bring
