POSITION SUMMARY:
Center For Family Services is seeking motivated, culturally sensitive and compassionate individuals for the Residential Counselor positions within its Juntos Program. This is a part time position in a quickly growing organization that positively influences children and teens. The Residential Counselor will be a key member of the program's team in providing direct counseling services and support to children and teens in the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Residential Care Provider engages in caring supervision and structure for youth in residence which is consistent with stated goals and objectives as well as provides life skills training, co-leads physical education and recreation, and guides, instructs and counsels youth in the program. The Residential Care Provider oversees goal setting groups and provides on-to-one assistance and engages youth. This individual provides transportation to and from appointments and also is a substitute in the event of a staff absence. The Residential Care Provider ensures that youth complete their goals as set forth in their treatment plan.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma plus one year experience working with youth
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years
