Location: Camden, NJ

Job Type/Status: Full Time (Evenings and weekends required for community events, outreach, and benefits screening sessions.)

Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 per year

Responsibilities:

The Project Director / Case Manager provides day-to-day leadership, coordination, and oversight of the Camden CAN (Comprehensive Access Network) Initiative, a four-year, multi-partner benefits access and economic mobility project funded by the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ).This position ensures full compliance with the United Way Agreement, including program implementation, biannual reporting, data governance, fiscal accountability, and performance monitoring. The Project Director manages partner coordination, oversees client assistance funds, ensures accurate and timely data entry across required systems (My Resource Pal, AWARDS, HIE), and leads continuous quality improvement efforts. The role requires strong leadership, cross-agency collaboration, event planning, and the ability to manage a complex, citywide benefits access model while maintaining a trauma-informed, resident-centered approach.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and oversight for all Camden CAN project activities.
    • Ensure full compliance with the United Way Agreement, including reporting timelines, data accuracy, and program implementation.
    • Coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with project goals, performance benchmarks, and funder expectations.
    • Maintain strong relationships with partners including the Camden Coalition, Camden Community Partnership, Cathedral Kitchen, Financial Wellness Institute, Saint Joseph's Carpenter Society, Volunteer Up Legal Services, and the City of Camden.
    • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and data entry into AWARDS, My Resource Pal, and other required systems.
    • Facilitate team meetings, partner check-ins, and monthly Leadership Council meetings.
    • Support training and development of staff, volunteers, and community ambassadors.
    • Prepare and submit biannual reports, financial documentation, narrative summaries, and data governance updates required by United Way.
    • Uphold CFS Code of Ethics and maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Participate in professional development and required agency meetings.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in community engagement, benefits access, case management, or multi-partner coordination.
    • Experience managing grant-funded programs with strict reporting and compliance requirements.
    • Experience with data systems, performance monitoring, and cross-agency collaboration.
    • Experience with My Resource Pal.
    • Experience in resource navigation.
    • Current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
      • Vehicle with current insurance and registration

    Physical Requirements and Work Environment

    • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
    • Ability to travel to community sites, partner locations, and events.
    • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions during events; noise level ranges from moderate to loud.
