We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced leader to oversee our Supervised Visitation Services (SVS) Program. This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who is passionate about strengthening families, supporting child safety, and leading a dedicated team of professionals.

As the Visitation Program Director, you will guide program operations, support staff development, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed services for children and families.

What You’ll Do

Program Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the SVS Program
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and coach Therapeutic & Supportive Visitation Specialists, Regional Coordinators, and Visitation Aides
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to visitation staff
  • Ensure all services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practices

Family & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families using culturally sensitive communication
  • Promote safe, supportive environments that encourage healthy parent-child connections
  • Maintain ongoing collaboration with DCP&P, providers, and community partners

Quality & Clinical Practice

  • Review case information and incorporate collateral data to inform services
  • Support staff in effective engagement, active listening, and family-centered practices
  • Facilitate visit planning and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Monitor program data, outcomes, and reporting requirements
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives

Coaching & Team Development

  • Mentor and develop staff through a trauma-informed lens
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and strengths-based team culture
  • Support staff in advocating for families and connecting them to resources

What You Bring

Education & Licensure

  • Active NJ LCSW and ACS

Experience

  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in mental health services
  • Minimum 2 years providing services to children, adolescents, or families
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations

Skills & Strengths

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with documentation systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic health records

Additional Requirements

  • Valid NJ Driver’s License with a clean driving record
