History Teacher- Part Time

Part-Time History & Current Events Teacher – High School

Center For Education is seeking an engaging and dependable Part-Time History & Current Events Teacher to work with high school students in a small, supportive educational setting. Class Size: 3 to 6 Students

We are looking for someone who can bring history, government, civics, and current events to life while adapting instruction to students with a wide range of academic abilities and learning needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach high school History, Civics/Government, and Current Events
• Develop interesting, relevant lessons that connect historical topics to today's world
• Help students understand local, national, and global current events
• Incorporate practical civics, including how government works, voting, individual rights, and civic responsibility
• Modify instruction and materials to accommodate different reading and comprehension levels
• Encourage discussion, critical thinking, and respectful consideration of different viewpoint

• Has a strong interest in history, government, and current events
• Understands that building relationships with students is an important part of successful teaching

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9 to 12
Location: Marlton, NJ (near Cherry Hill)

This is an excellent opportunity for a retired teacher, current educator seeking additional hours, or someone with a strong background in history, government, or social studies.

Small Private School, grades 7 though 12, providing small group and one-to-one instruction.
