Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Veterinary Technician at the Center for Discovery and Innovation, located in Nutley, NJ. The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality animal care, supporting veterinary procedures, administering anesthetics, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting with various veterinary tasks. The role will involve educating clients regarding pet care and handling, as well as maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Animal Care and Pet Care practices
- Knowledge and experience in Veterinary Technology
- Ability to perform Anesthesiology tasks and monitor patient conditions during procedures
- Skilled in Client Education to communicate and guide pet owners effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to creating a clean and safe environment for animals
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Previous experience working in a veterinary or animal care setting is an advantage
