Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Create comprehensive lesson plans that integrate goals and objectives from all disciplines within the IEP.
- Monitor and adjust behavior and classroom management techniques to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain open communication with the classroom team, parents, and program directors to enhance student performance and support.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an education-related field.
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a Master’s Degree in Special Education.
- At least 18 years old and capable of lifting 50 pounds independently.
- Initial NYS Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with developmental disabilities.
- Creative and energetic approach to teaching.
