We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our HR Department. The position is located at 314 South Manning Blvd in Albany, NY. This is a full-time position and works closely with the Leave of Absence (LOA) team.

We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our HR Department. The position is located at 314 South Manning Blvd in Albany, NY. This is a full-time position and works closely with the Leave of Absence (LOA) team.
Responsibilities
- Available as a resource to employees and supervisors for all benefits related inquires
- Applies a strong working knowledge of Workday (HRIS system) and Excel to efficiently and effectively process and track all components of plans you are responsible for – including retirement, medical, dental, etc.
- Reconciles carrier bills and submits monthly vouchers to Accounts Payable within deadlines. Meets all deadlines (payroll, legal, agency, vendor, etc.), escalating issues and following through to ensure deadlines are met.
- Uses strong mathematical knowledge to ensure bills are accurate
- Processes all tuition assistance and reimbursement requests.
- Coordinates meetings for employees with 401(k) representatives at various locations as needed
- Supports all administrative functions of all retirement plans, including but not limited to assisting with bi-weekly enrollment process and year end auditing and reporting.
- Independently works to resolve issues through thoughtful and thorough analytical and problem-solving skills; reaches out/escalates to others as appropriate
- Assists HRM’s (as appropriate) with benefit-related projects, presentations, and trainings/information sessions – keeping all appropriate parties informed timely
- Bachelor’s degree in field of Human Resources or related field
- At least 3 year(s) of related experience, specifically in: Human Resources and /or Benefits Administration.
- Experience with Workday preferred
