Endoscopic Research is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our growing clinical research team. This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in clinical research and healthcare while working alongside experienced investigators and coordinators in a fast-paced medical environment.
The Research Assistant will support the Clinical Research Coordinators and Principal Investigators with both clinical and administrative study-related tasks. This role offers the opportunity for growth and development within clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient screening and recruitment for clinical trials
- Prepare exam rooms and study materials for participant visits
- Obtain vital signs and assist with patient assessments
- Perform phlebotomy and process laboratory specimens
- Schedule study visits and reminder calls
- Maintain accurate study documentation and filing systems
- Assist with data entry and electronic case report forms (eCRFs)
- Prepare lab samples for shipment
- Assist with regulatory and administrative research tasks
- Maintain study supply inventory
- Support investigators and coordinators with daily study operations
- Ensure patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Phlebotomy experience REQUIRED
- Medical assistant or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with patients in a clinical setting
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in clinical research and healthcare
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous clinical research experience
- Medical Assistant certification
- Experience with EKGs, specimen processing, or patient scheduling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
