Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care by performing intake assessments and documenting medical histories.
- Measure and record vital signs, ensuring accurate data collection for patient evaluations.
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations and procedures, including X-rays and medication administration.
- Maintain patient records using EHR systems, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and coding standards such as ICD coding.
- Support the clinic's operations by managing appointment scheduling and patient service inquiries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including outpatient clinics, emergency medicine, and inpatient care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient education and care planning.
- Uphold safety standards while providing care in high-acuity environments such as Level I and Level II trauma centers.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following experience:
- Previous work in gastroenterology, urgent care, or hospital medicine is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices and internal medicine is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of basic life support protocols is essential.
