The Center for Developing Minds (CDM), created by Damon Korb, M.D., is a specialized clinic located in Los Gatos, CA, focused on developmental and behavioral pediatrics. CDM provides compassionate care to children and young adults facing behavior challenges, learning difficulties, attention issues, social skill deficits, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and psychological conditions. The expert clinicians at CDM are dedicated to identifying subtle cognitive differences in each child, enabling tailored interventions to address challenges effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver courteous, confident, and confidential customer service to clients across a wide range of requests.
- Multitask in a customer service environment: including, but not limited to, answering phone calls, managing the schedule of 10-25 clinicians, greeting and checking-in guests for appointments, accurately processing invoices and payments, and assisting clinicians and office manager(s) with various needs according to the CDM "Pyramid of Priority."
- Welcome guests and efficiently check in clients at their scheduled appointment times.
- Efficiently triaging the needs of existing and prospective clients on the telephone by appropriately answering their request or delegating the caller's need to a more appropriate team member.
- Maintain meticulous accuracy of the Electronic Medical Record throughout various patient care needs: including, but not limited to, appointment check-in, appointment scheduling, medication refill requests, and medical record information requests.
- Assist with more specific patient care needs as requested: including, but not limited to Insurance Prior Authorizations, New Patient Intake Phone Appointments, and General Pharmacy Troubleshooting.
- This position will report to the Office Manager.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience with medical billing and insurance.
- Strong digital literacy skills: including, but not limited to, proficiency with Google Suite products, Microsoft Office, and typing speed 40 wpm.
- Effective communication skills: including, but not limited to, legible penmanship, proper grammar when writing and speaking, and the ability to relate to parents and children.
- Prior experience with printers, copy machines, scanners, and Windows operating system.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to follow proper procedures and ask questions when something does not make sense.
- Demonstrated IT skills and experience.
- Prior experience with Charm EHR is preferred but not required.
