Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Prepare and manage dental instruments and materials, including 3D scanning and X-ray equipment.
- Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in chairside assisting and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology and general dentistry practices.
- Knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics.
- Experience with EMR systems, including Dentrix and Eaglesoft, is a plus.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
