What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Coordinator position at Center for Childhood Safety?
We are looking for an energetic self-starter to join our small team and help champion our mission. This role will coordinate fundraising events, support donor outreach, and lead community engagement efforts to grow our impact.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading CCS’s Purse Bingo fundraiser held three times per year, including state reporting, expense tracking, marketing and promotions, night-of event logistics, sponsor identification and stewardship, and volunteer recruitment and coordination.
- Identify, plan and execute additional and community events and fundraisers that align with the mission of organization, solicit sponsors, set budget, and measure ROI.
- Work with Executive Director to create and maintain retention plans to promote donor growth.
- Utilizes and maintains administrative systems. These include program databases, contact management and reporting systems.
- Design and maintain an annual fundraising and marketing calendar.
- Advertise and market programs through various media platforms to ensure programs are at capacity.
- Develop with Executive Director a strategic marketing, communication, and social media plan and measure marketing efforts.
- Assist with website design and maintenance via Wix.
- Create event collateral, such as posters, presentations, social media graphics, and web graphics for all CCS events maintaining brand standards.
- Market and coordinate community events such as Bike and Walk to School Days, community car seat checks, etc.
- Assist with development and distribution of agency correspondence (newsletters, social media, press releases, fundraising letters, etc.).
- Assist with programming as needed - obtain and maintain Child Passenger Safety Technician certification.
- Stay abreast of national, state and local initiatives as they relate to issues that affect childhood safety.
- Attend regional and national conferences as needed.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations/communications, marketing, or a related field
- One to three years of fundraising and marketing experience preferred
- Passion for injury prevention and working with children
- Experience in Canva and Adobe
- Graphic design and website experience preferred
- Must be proficient with basic social media skills
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
