What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Coordinator position at Center for Change?
Center for Change is a healthcare facility dedicated to helping individuals recover from eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia. The Center is respected for its programs, progressive outlook, and for its major contributions in research and treatment in the field of eating disorders.
Essential functions:
- Claims billing, follow-up and timely collections of Insurance, Medicaid and private pay patient accounts for multi-site healthcare facilities
- Charge entry and deposit posting
- Other duties as assigned, with or without reasonable accommodation, to assist in maintaining quality standards and presenting the facility as a successful entity

- Minimum of 3 years previous medical billing experience required
- Experience using EMR and billing software required

- Ability to function within a team environment, maintain attendance standards, and be self-motivated
- Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and professional attitude to effectively work with patients, other facility personnel, and outside entities
- Excellent communication, time management and collaboration skills
- Ability to remain calm under stress in a changing office environment and demonstrate patience, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Proficiency with English written and verbal communication
- Understanding of medical billing standards required - experience with high volume collections highly preferred
